Hey! I’m Marie, thanks for the following. How are you?
Hey Marie! I’m Eris, nice to meet you :)
I’m doing well thank you, though it is getting pretty late over here (UK) so I’m becoming quite the tired one! You?
I’ve been good. I’ve tried to do some watercolours but I can’t get to concentrate. You live in the UK? What time is it there?
I’ve given up with my guitar tonight for that very reason! What kind of pictures do you do? I do love watercolours but unfortunately lack a steady hand. If you had anything online I could look at that would be nice.
Yep, glorious England. You’re in Canada right? I’m trying to remember reading your page a few minutes ago! haha
Tis 00:46. On the subject of time zones I realised the other day that some major cities are bang on zone-lines. I wonder if there are neighbours living there with different clocks..
I do some flowers, I tried portraits. I have some stuff on my Facebook but I think you’d have to be friends with me to see them.
It’s almost 20:00 here in Quebec City.
Cool. I’m a big portrait fan, they have potential to be really awe-inspiring. Shame I haven’t got a facebook!
There’s not as big a time difference as I would’ve thought. Suppose you’re fluent in French then? :)
Yeah, it’s a shame. I could post some here I would not really mind.
Le français, c’est ma langue première.

Hey! I’m Marie, thanks for the following. How are you?
Which was the best month for you?
I seriously have no idea, September was good. I don’t know. So much happened.
Which month(s) was the worst?
probably November/December. December was really depressing for me.
What was the most significant thing that happened this year?
Well, I started to learn Spanish and Deutsch. Meeting new people, having crushes too easily.
What person had the most impact on your life this year?
I,d guess Hubert. He was always there for me. I really talked to him on an almost daily basis. Though these days I haven’t been able to talk to him.
What was the best concert that you attended?
I’ve went to see Bad Religion, Alexisonfire this year with two of my friends. We really connected with music and together. Went to Karkwa too.
What was your biggest challenge of 2009?
My biggest challenge was French this year. I don’t know why, analysing things, did not went well.
Your biggest regret?
That things did not work out the most I’ve wanted them to.
What moments stand out to you the most?
A lot of things. My good grades, meeting some people at the Rituel (hang out place for geeks… literally) and Café Oxymel. Talking on the phone with Caroline, walking with him(Hubert) in the cold streets of the old city.
What band did you listen to the most?
Oh that’s hard… Manchester Orchestra, fun. Paramore really stand out this year.
On a scale of 1-10, 2009 was:
7, not so bad.
Did you:
Meet anyone special?
yes. I met so many incredible people this year.
Get close to someone you didn’t expect to?
Oh quite. I’ve gotten more friends, more acquaintances.
Have a boyfriend or girlfriend?
nein. (no)
Have a relationship for more than 3 months?
that’d be a no too
Hook up with anyone, no strings attached?
non.
Experience the death of a loved one?
yes, sadly.
Get in a fight?
I have sadly gotten into little fights with Hubert. Again, him. I know. I feel pathetic.
Lose a friend?
I don’t think I have.
Regret doing something?
I did for a time, but I learned to let go.
Go to a concert?
yess.
Get back together with an ex?
nein.
Enjoy being single?
I think I have enjoyed this year being single but I’ve wanted to have someone in my life at one point.
Accomplish a goal?
definitely.
Learn something new?
yes. so much.
Get arrested?
no.
Break up with someone?
nah
Get a tattoo?
next year.
Go to a party?
two.
The New Year: 2010
What will you be doing on New Year’s Eve:
I will be working my butt off at work for several hours, then we’ll watch some recapitulatives of the year, we’ll eat. It’s just my dad, my mom and I
Will you kiss anyone at midnight?
I doubt it.
What is your New Year’s resolution?
I guess letting go more, learning more, do good in every sphere I can, having fun, making friends, talk to him (but not in a daily basis)
Did you keep your resolution from last year?
I made a list of resolutions but forgot most of them now.
Do you think things will be different in 2010?
I guess. I’ll turn 18. I’ll try to have more fun. I guess it won’t be any different. I’ll have ups and downs of course.
What do you want most out of 2010?
I’ll take what I have.
Do you think 2010 will be better than 2009?
I hope so.
Anything you are particularly looking forward to?
Good question. My 18 birthday I guess.

When everything is lonely I can be my own best friend.
I’ll get a coffee and the paper, have my own conversations
with the sidewalk and the pigeons and my window reflection.
The mask I polish in the evening by the morning looks like shit.
this song makes me die inside. literally
that would break your heart.
If we could just remember this,
I think there would be a lot more
compassion and tolerance
in the world.” —PostSecret (via caughtinsuspension)
My boyfriend’s father emailed this to me. Worth sharing.
